About Me: Hey! I’m Elizabeth Jones—residential construction bookkeeping expert, cost-plus queen, and creator of the innovative Chaos to Clarity Project that’s transforming financial workflows for custom home builders.
After spending years working with builders, I consistently saw internal chaos wreak havoc on their businesses and their bottom lines. These businesses were exposed to excessive risk and losing BIG.
Why?
Financial operations had garbage data processes so their reports were useless and unsubstantiated.
Financial operations were not recording data in alignment with the type of contracts actually being used for both recording costs and tracking income (cost plus tracking for cost plus contracts, progressive or fixed processes for lump sum, etc)
Financial operations were not properly implementing contracts with homeowners, investors or even their subs. For many, the financial operations didn’t even see the contracts!!!
Financial Operations did not collaborate with Project Management at all creating a HUGE disconnect.

Interests: When I’m not pouring into my business to help residential construction companies, I spend most of my remaining time with my children doing all sorts of craziness. From the beach to all the sports fields, I love spending all the time I can with my kids and our dog, Rocky! We are so blessed to live near Scenic Highway 30A in Santa Rosa Beach, FL along the gorgeous Gulf Coast, and I absolutely love spending time outdoors- at the beach, in the water, along the trails, etc.
